My Little Sweeper

Kate just loves to help me clean, especially when the broom gets pulled out of the closet. She likes to sweep and will take a turn whenever she can. I thought I better capture this on camera as I know soon enough she will grow out of this.

My Birthday...Just a Few Days Early

Sadly, Robb will be in Connecticut on my birthday this year. So, he and the kids decided to plan an early birthday celebration! It was so fun! The celebration was complete with my favorite kind of birthday cake and a birthday crown that Audrey insisted I wear.

My birthday cake. It's an ice cream blizzard cake from Dairy Queen. I would highly recommend it if you like chocolate in any way! Totally yummy! Oh and by the way, I'm obviously much older than seven. (See the seven candles on the cake?)

Medieval Feast

Audrey's in sixth grade. During this term they have been learning about medieval times. To end the theme, they got to have a "medieval feast" and play different medieval games. Audrey was excited to dress up. Here she is in her costume.

During the medieval feast, she got to eat without silverware. The menu included mashed potatoes, which she thought was pretty fun to eat with her fingers!
Now they are studying Greek times. I wonder what activities they will get to do with this!
